The authorities of the Canadian city of Innisfil, which is in the state of Ontario, have launched a dense program, through which city residents will be able to pay property taxes using digital currencies. This was reported by the publication Cointelegraph referring to the relevant decree of the local municipality.

At the moment, only Bitcoin is accepted for payment. Cryptocurrency will be converted into Canadian dollars through the payment operator Coinberry Pay.

In the future, it is planned to add the ability to pay taxes using such cryptocurrencies like Ethereum, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, and XRP.

Earlier on our portal it was reported that in Ohio it is now possible to pay taxes with Bitcoins, as well as about the first company in the USA that will pay taxes in Bitcoin.
