At the Apple presentation event a new iPad was also introduced, the seventh generation of the company’s new tablets designed for fun and productivity: the 9.7 “model is replaced by this new refresh that includes a 10.2” display
iPadOS is a new operating system created to be simply a new platform for use with large displays, with over one million apps that are specifically designed to be used with iPads and iPadOS.
iPad 10.2: Design
New design for the small family, which now has a new 10.2-inch Retina display, which replaces the 9.7 “format we know. It is manufactured from 100% recycled aluminum, therefore with an eye to the environment.
iPad 10.2: Technical features
It will implement the A10 Fusion processor, which although a few years behind and is less powerful than the A10X present on the second generation of iPad Pro, is more than capable of allowing multitasking and productivity, especially when used with Apple Pencil and a keyboard.
There will also be a smart connector to connect a full-size keyboard. In addition to the Smart Keyboard you can take advantage of mouse support introduced with the latest version of iPadOS.
Obviously it will be possible to use the Apple Pencil on the new iPad, to increase even more the possibilities for creatives and for a use devoted to the productivity of the basic model of the iPad tablet line.
iPad 10.2: Price and Availability
The new seventh generation iPad will start at $329, with availability starting September 30th and pre-orders starting today.
