Twitter tests new medal to identify authors of conversations

Twitter will make it easier to identify the authors of threads in the thread. The social network is testing a new signage that will be below the profile of the person who made the original publication. The measure should help a lot in long conversations and combat false profiles that pass for some famous.

According to the publication of Android Police, the novelty is being tested with a rather small group of people. Whenever a Twitter thread begins, the social network will show the “Original Tweeter” medal next to the name of the individual who posted the first message. The idea is to make it easier to identify who started the conversation.

It seems that the release of the resource is being done remotely by Twitter and there is no forecast for this to reach all users. The microblogging has invested heavily in combating false and abusive profiles in recent months, promoting frequent waves of banishment. In addition, the network has interrupted its verification.
