WhatsApp ban users caught in groups with strange names

After many abuse situations, WhatsApp has taken very restrictive measures on its service. He thus sought to ensure that these situations did not become customary and to ensure that the use of his service had rules.

If most cases were spreading false news, the focus now seems to be widening. The latest cases report that WhatsApp is banning users caught in groups with strange names.

Group names bring problems to users

Although it is not able to read messages exchanged by users, WhatsApp can know which groups users belong to. In addition, you have more information about these groups, including their names.

It is based on this information that reports of banned users are now emerging. It all depends on the name of the group where they are, where the strangest and most suspicious are immediately closed. Users are however banned from this service.

WhatsApp acts immediately

Complaints that exist show that several users are already having this treatment. The reported cases reveal that even in joking changes WhatsApp acts immediately.

This is apparently not a recent situation, with complaints arising for at least 1 month. Many complain that it is in name only and that shared content is not prohibited. These are cases of group name changes only, for inappropriate designations.

The problem in these cases is that WhatsApp has no ability to validate the contents. As such, they have no way to validate what is shared or written and simply decide to remove groups and punish users.

How to prevent renaming WhatsApp groups

Since most change situations are the result of joking users, there is certainly a simple solution to apply. Just changing the name is only allowed to administrators.

Simply access the Group Details and open the Group Settings . Inside should open Edit group details and change the value to Admins only . This limits access to this area and changes.

All users who later complained received an automatic message from WhatsApp. According to the service, the justification is in violation of the Terms of Service and accounts will not be recovered. This is an unfair situation, but it fits the WhatsApp usage rules.
