You can now exchange encrypted and secure messages with Signal on iPad

Signal is the security, using encryption protocols that are a reference throughout the industry! You can now use it on your iPad. As such, Apple’s tablet now supports this encrypted messaging service whose strong focus is on security and privacy. Also, there were some interesting improvements to the iOS app.

Privacy is a fundamental requirement today in most messaging services. Regarding messaging services, we have for example Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Telegram, Google Allo, among others. For those looking for “maximum security”, Signal is one of the best options.

One of the highlights of this service was also its presence on various platforms. From Android to iOS, through Windows, macOS and Debian. However, Apple’s tablet support was missing, i.e. the presence on iPadOS.

This has recently changed with the signal app for the iPad. From now on, users of iPad device can communicate through the communication service Snowden uses and recommends.

Despite this excellent news, version 3.0 of the app has brought other improvements. A small video editor has been incorporated that allows users to cut the clip before uploading it.

In addition, making voice calls to a contact in a particular group has been simpler than ever and horizontal mode has been introduced on iPad.

Signal is available for download from the App Store
