ColorOS 6 focuses on optimizing the borderless design, using soft, elegant colors with the dominant white tones while optimizing the overall experience. The size of the icons, animation effects are also redesigned by Chinese manufacturers on ColorOS 6 to bring smoother and more effective when users use.

Oppo’s new operating system also offers many other new features, such as making images brighter and clearer when viewing and optimizing video quality. In particular, the TouchBoost feature for gamers will reduce latency by up to 40ms, optimized for acceleration when playing PUBG to 21.6%, an increase of 16.2% in response speed when playing MOBA games. FrameBoost technology will help increase the frame rate to 38%.

The earliest machines running ColorOS 6 will be their new Reno series devices where they will be preinstalled with the operating system from April 10.

For older devices, Oppo will send the update as follows:

First round to two R15 and R15 Dream Edition devices in April.

The next release will be at the end of August for Oppo Find X, R17 and R17 Pro devices.

The third batch will be at the end of September, the devices that receive this update include: Oppo R11s, R11s Plus, R11, R11 Plus, A7x, A3.

Devices not included in the list above will have to wait to receive the update.
