Just yesterday the roll out of Android 10 for Huawei P30 and P30 Pro started and today the Chinese beta testers of the Huawei Mate 20 and HONOR 20 series, in addition to HONOR V20 and HONOR Magic 2, can put their hands on EMUI 10 and on Magic UI 3.0, both in stable version. But let’s take one step at a time.
Huawei Mate 20 upgrade to Android 10 with the stable EMUI 10
The tests went on for a few weeks now, and now the stable EMUI 10, clearly based on Android 10, is finally rolling out for Huawei Mate 20, Huawei Mate 20 Pro and Porsche Design Huawei Mate 20 RS.
The changelog of this new version features the October security patches, and talks about fixes for the two-finger zoom camera app problem, notification bar arrangements, and some bugs that plagued third-party apps.
For the time being the update is reserved for China and the Chinese beta testers, but at this point it is reasonable to expect an imminent release of the update also for users who currently use smartphones with Android 9 Pie, in China before, later also from us.
HONOR 20, V20 and Magic 2 receive the stable Magic UI 3.0
For their part, even the HONOR 20, HONOR 20 Pro, HONOR V20 and HONOR Magic 2 receive the stable version of the Magic One UI 3.0, that is the customization of the brand based on Android 10.
Among the innovations we find the same fixes that we have listed above, with the security patches for October included. And also in this case, it should be noted that the update is confined to the Chinese market and to the related beta testers.
However, it remains a good sign that gives the official start to the general distribution, which by now should not be so far away, neither for the former nor for the latter.
