The Note 8 series by Redmi, destined to collect the heavy legacy of Redmi Note 7, which achieved a resounding sales success was officially presented this morning in China. There are two models, Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro.

It starts with the photographic sector in which a 64-megapixel sensor stands out but there are many reasons why the two smartphones are very interesting. No retractable cameras like on the K20 series, but a more traditional drop-shaped notch that contains the main sensor, a well-kept photographic compartment. In particular Redmi Note 8 Pro can count on a 64 megapixel main sensor, a first for the Chinese brand demonstrating the particular attention paid to details.

The Pro version comes with MediaTek’s new Helio G90T chipset, optimized for gaming and accompanied by a liquid cooling system to avoid throttling during prolonged gaming sessions. More “conservative” Redmi Note 8 which can still count on a Snapdragon 665 with a smaller amount of memory but with the same design.

Amazing prices as always, at least those reserved for the Chinese market, hoping that they will remain aggressive even in international markets. As for Redmi Note 8 Pro, prices start at 1,399 yuan, around 179 euros, for the 6-64 GB version.

We then move on to 1,599 yuan, around 205 euros, for the 6-128 GB model to reach 1,799 yuan, or around 230 euros, for the model with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. For gaming enthusiasts a gamepad was announced, available at 179 yuan, around 23 euros, falling to 99 yuan, about 13 euros, for the first buyers.
