TikTok’s parent company ByteDance launches Smartisan Jianguo Pro 3 Smartphone

ByteDance already dominating the app market with TikTok, will it be able to dominate the smartphone market too?

At the beginning of this year ByteDance, the company that created TikTok, acquired a series of patents from smartphone maker Smartisan and this week introduced the first result of the agreement with the Jianguo Pro 3 smartphone.

The device is equipped with a 6.39 inch FHD + AMOLED screen with DC Dimming, is powered by the SoC Snapdragon 855 Plus with up to 12 GB of RAM and runs Smartisan OS 7.0 based on Android 9 Pie.

The Smartisan Jianguo Pro 3 photographic compartment includes a 48 MP IMX586 main sensor, a 13 MP wide angle 123 degree lens, an 8 MP telephoto lens with 2x zoom and a 5 MP lens for 2 cm macros, while frontally it is present a 20 MP camera housed in the drip notch.

Smartisan Jianguo Pro 3 has a thickness of only 7.8 mm and uses an in-display fingerprint scanner, it is powered by a 4,000 mAh battery with 18 W fast charge, but the 3.5 mm audio jack is absent.

Smartisan Jianguo Pro 3 is available in black, white and green at the price of 2899 yuan (about 368 euros) for the variant with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, while the variant with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage costs 3199 yuan (about 406 euros). The high-end model with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage costs 3599 yuan (around 457 euros). Smartisan Jianguo Pro 3 can already be ordered in China and will go on sale from November 4th.
